At the recent Annual Conference and Exposition of the American Counseling Association (ACA), a special national award was presented to Dr. Bill Braden, KCA’s Executive Director and longtime KASA member.
The special inaugural award was in recognition of his outstanding dedication, mentoring and meritorious service to the counseling profession.
His dedication to the counseling profession is apparent when considering he is the longest serving state branch executive in the nation - now spanning 25 years. His state branch, the Kentucky Counseling Association (KCA), has an extensive tradition of excellence highlighted by virtually sweeping ACA’s Awards for Excellence annually; and he has served as a mentor to the leaders of numerous state branches who aspire to a tradition of excellence in member service delivery.
This inaugural special award was initiated by Dr. Braden’s peers in the leadership of the ACA Southern Region.
