Your Roadmap to Senate Bill 1
KLA will support district and school leaders as we band together to build knowledge, leadership capacity and human capital. KLA will operate in the united, systematic, statewide network context. These networks have been designed to address 3 of the primary components of Senate Bill 1 - new standards, assessment literacy, and highly effective teaching and learning. In order to be able to offer support to every district in our state, a district-wide leadership team approach was selected; hence, the necessary focus on developing leadership. KLA Cadre members will understand key concepts and ideas related to the deployment of Senate Bill 1. Our KLA/Leadership Network members will be able to provide support that is critical to the implementation and susstainability of the charges of Senate Bill 1 at their own schools and districts. Participants will be prepared to apply their learning while working shoulder to shoulder with their District Leadership Team.
Every KLA/Leadership Network session this year will focus on the essential components that must be present in every network and addressed at each meeting:
