Dr. Caldwell will lead participants through concepts from the acclaimed leadership work, The Leadership Challenge, with a special focus on Practice Five: Encourage the Heart. This timely and meaningful session will center on the importance of recognizing the efforts and contributions of others, celebrating accomplishments, and creating a culture of encouragement and support within educational leadership. The work of Directors of Pupil Personnel across the Commonwealth is often challenging and demanding. DPPs regularly navigate difficult issues involving student truancy, adverse student behaviors, and decisions that can significantly impact the lives of young people and families. In many cases, the role can feel isolating due to the weight and responsibility of these decisions. Through the lens of Encourage the Heart, Dr. Caldwell will provide an uplifting and motivational message designed to inspire and strengthen DPPs as they conclude another school year of service to students, schools, and communities.
